Where do I go now? Best guess, My ancestor, Hugh Geraghty, b.1817 would have enlisted in the RIC c 1836, married Johanna Lynch c. 1843. He had a daughter (1845) in Kildimo, Limerick. He remarried Margaret Enright in St. John's Limerick (1849), with children in Kildimo (1850), Kilcornan & Stonehall, (1852) St. Mary's (1859) The civil record for the birth of the fifth daughter in 1865 mentions that Hugh is a "pensioner form. police on Athlunkard Street, Limerick." The civil death register mentions "pensioner RIC, Sandmall, St. John's Limerick, 8 days bronchitis." Where do I go from here? I'm hopeful that there might be a service number and detailed information about his life. Thank you in advance -- I didn't even know what the initials RIC stood for yesterday! Raymond
