Does anyone have any information on James W Nawn?
Born in Fermanagh, he rode for Ireland along with Pilkington and a man called Hale in a race in New York circa 1898, it may have been a marathon event. Any information appreciated. |

We are in a position to intimate to our readers that the well-established and widely known firm of cycle agents, Bowden & Co., 29 Bachelor's Walk, Dublin, have been fortunate to secure an appointment from the County Fermanagh Royal Irish Constabulary Cycling Club as official suppliers. This firm also supplies the R.I.C. Depot C.C. The various patterns of well-known and high grade bicycles for which Messrs. Bowden are agents, will, we feel sure, provide the R.I.C. with a choice of the staunchest and speediest mounts in the market; and they should be hard to please who cannot be satisfied with a selection from the firms stock. - Irish Times 2 Feb 1892 |
