I am
looking for any information about John Haddock born 1839 or 1842 in Longford. He is my Great Great Grandfather.
He Joined the R.I.C and served for around 10 years.
Looks as if his father was also named John Haddock and his mother was Anne (maiden name Hall).
After leaving the I.R.C
He went to Australia

Oct 1870 Left Victoria Australia aboard the ALHAMBRA.

In 1877 he join the New Zealand police. Retirement 1895
After being in service for around 35 years he became a farmer breaking in the land using a team of bulldown in Karamu, Waikato, New Zealand.
We would love find out more about him in Ireland. He had a full on life and died in 1903 leaving behind nine children and his wife Sara.
