"The List of Church of Ireland Parish Registers has had a complete overhaul thanks to a collaboration with the Irish Genealogical Research Society. The list accounts for all Church of Ireland parochial registers of baptism, marriage and burial, noting what survives, the dates covered, and where they are located.
Where registers were destroyed in the burning of the Public Record Office of Ireland ( PROI ) during the Irish Civil War in 1922, the list records details of abstracts and transcripts and where they are held
In its upgraded state, the colour-coded list has a new format and, for the first time, features live links to relevant online resources. I may be biased because I worked as a volunteer on the 12-month project, but I am confident this new rendition of the List will significantly assist researchers by providing them with a first port of call search tool that links easily to online information.
