Not exactly sure how Jim came to that conclusion Peter but according to his information Louis was pensioned on the first of August 1867 and he lived until 1888. As to the crossbelt badge I wonder did Louis pose for the photo sometime...

Thats a great photo of Bunratty Castle Peter, not seen that before. I wonder when that addition was built, I think its unlikely it was built for the constabulary.
