Nice to see the photo's of your carbine plus bayonet, i did not know they were rare, as i understood it,or had been told over the years the tower armoury sold many by auction in the 1960s
that is, 1840 & 1842 pattern carbines and bayonets, with other surplus arms etc.
I have an 1840 patt,in my collection and notes that came with it,which may be of interest, lock has Crown & V.R. but no date, butt plate tang engraved C 235,-bayonet engraved on collar
C 3483,maker on blade S.Hill, scabbard throat engraved C8549,-( 1840 socket bayonet with plain collar for  Hanoverian spring catch of 1839).
               
Notes on same-In 1840 the decision was made to suppy the Constabulary Forces in Ireland with a muzzle loading smothbore percussion carbine calibre .65,which was partially made up of
converted flintlock musket parts.- Bayonet 1840-44,The socket bayonets are believed to have originated from existing stocks of light infantry socket bayonets which were converted by the 
introduction of a safety spring clip partially let into the top front face of the blade and retained by a screw.
