			<description><![CDATA[ The following information is summarised from an article in the Constabulary Gazette supplement, Spring 1999:<br><br>On August 3rd 1807 the first uniform of the Belfast Borough Police was seen, being "a dark broadcloth tailored jacket, dark frieze trousers, a red waistcoat and a hat of the tall type with a&nbsp; black leather crown".<br><br> ]]></description>
